Takeoff from T3 with United Airlines
Singapore, March 13, 2008 – Effective March 26 2008, United Airlines will operate from T3 - Changi’s latest and most advanced terminal. It will further enhance United’s customers’ experience through high quality, aesthetic travel services.
United’s facilities in T3 are centralised. Customers will have quick and easy access to its facilities, and enjoy the very best of United’s services including priority check-in, baggage handling and boarding through smoother check-in, enhanced gate and boarding facilities and a state-of-the-art baggage handling system.
United Singapore’s General Manager, Laurence Chin, said: “There are two passenger gate-hold areas which are significantly larger than those at T1. Passengers making connections at different terminals will be delighted to hear as well that they will have their baggages whisked safely between Terminals 2 and 3 within three minutes”.
Located near United’s airport office, premium passenger lounge, city train station, Skytrain station and the upcoming Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Counter Row 8 will be for the checking in of premium passengers while Counter Row 9 for other passengers.
The only US carrier and one of five to be located in T3, United’s move is part of its upcoming International Premium Travel Experience offering this year – which is to continuously provide passengers with the best of comfort and luxury:
- New international business class seat that reclines 180 degrees, to a 6-foot, 4-inch lie-flat bed, allowing for maximum comfort on long flights. The broadly adjustable seat enables customers to dine, work and/or sleep comfortably.
- Gourmet food and wine, enhanced by in-flight entertainment and other amenities.
United is the only US airline to offer fully-flat seats in first and business class cabins across its entire international fleet.
