Keep your information up-to-date on united.com so that we are able to stay in touch and to ensure that your united.com purchase experience is fast and easy.


Creating a Mileage Plus and/or united.com profile
In order to use united.com to manage your Mileage Plus account and to book travel with ease, you must create a united.com password and profile. A profile will allow you to earn bonus miles when booking as well as have your booking forms pre-filled with your profile information. You may still purchase flights if you don't have a profile by selecting "guest" when you are prompted to log in.

Managing your email address and email subscriptions
If your email address has changed or if you wish to add or modify your email subscriptions you may do so through Update profile. Manage your email address and email subscriptions for:

  • Mileage Plus communications
  • Mileage Plus partner communications
  • United offers and announcements
You may also add email addresses to your travel notifications list so that others receive your travel itineraries after you book a flight. Look for the "send a copy of travel reservations to" section to add or change these email addresses. Go to Update profile now.

Managing your name, address and phone number
If your name, address or phone number has changed you may update your personal information through "Update profile". When updating your address and phone you also must update information contained in your Mileage Plus profile. A link to your Mileage Plus profile is located in the middle of the "Update profile" page. Be sure to hit "submit" and "save changes" on both pages to ensure your information is updated in our system.
We recommend that you ensure that your contact information matches the identification that you must present at the airport when you travel. (Do not enter a name change in "Update profile" unless your ID matches the name change. You will not be able to get through security if you book travel with a name change that does not have corresponding ID). Go to Update profile now.

Important note for name changes: If your name has changed you must update the name on your Mileage Plus account by sending a written request to:

Please provide your Mileage Plus number in addition to supporting legal documentation for the name change (ie. marriage license, court order, divorce decree or legal name change papers).

Managing your preferences (meals, home airport, air and display preferences)
Your profile contains your preference information for using united.com as well as your flight preferences (meals, home airport, seat preference). We will use the air preferences you've selected when you purchase travel. Go to Update profile to manage your display and air preferences now.

Managing your billing information
Manage your credit card information and billing address through your profile. In your profile, you can manage the default credit card you use for you travel purchases and the corresponding billing address. Go to Update profile now.

Managing your frequent flyer programs
Through the "Frequent flyer programs" you may enter up to 6 frequent flyer numbers to use when you purchase on united.com. Forgot your Mileage Plus number? Call Mileage Plus Customer Service at 1-800-421-4655.

Managing your wireless and email flight notification settings
You can create or manage your wireless and email flight notifications in your EasyUpdate profile. If you created a profile and need to modify your device settings or if you wish to create an automated profile, visit EasyUpdate now.
